Marvin G. Jonason is a new artist to the Eureka Springs community. He recently moved here from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has taught art, art history, theatre and design in university, college and high school programs. He has, for the past ten years, run his own company: Renaissance 1 Design. He has sold many paintings to clients throughout the United States. He's also been in many juried shows over the years.
Besides Jonason's painting career he has designed many productions for theatre, opera and dance companies. He has now returned to studio painting, working in oil and acrylic media. His subject matter, landscape, is done in impressionism and abstract.
